Although clinical prediction models benefit overall populations, individual risk estimates remain highly uncertain. Increasing training sample sizes reduces estimation uncertainty, but large model and applicability uncertainties persist. Therefore, practitioners must always interpret individual predictions with great caution in clinical practice.
